  • An 8.0 Earth Quake occurred a few hours ago in the Solomon Islands, in the same region as Fiji. It was 6 miles deep in the earth. Though at least 12 people are have died from the Tsunami, when it hits Fiji, it will likely be 12 inches or less.

  • The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has settled with McGee Industries in its effort to protect Alaskan waters from storm water violations.
  • The State of Texas has its dry cleaner fluid remediation contract to Ecology & Environment Inc (how is their SWPPP?)
  • Centex Corporation announced on 4/2/07 that it completed the sale of its commercial construction division, Centex Construction, to Balfour Beatty PLC. I wonder who is doing their storm water?
  • A prolonged drought over a wide swathe of China is threatening drinking water supplies for 13.4 million people (more)

  • Convergence between all the telecom technologies seem to be speeding up. It is being funded and experimented with in the west, but it looks like it will be deployed in Africa, where growth is expected to exceed 20% a year for the next 7-8 years.

  • Profile of SES a fast growing Satellite Company working in many areas where we work
  • The East Africa Fiber Optics Pre-installation Survey is Complete, where it will come from and when it will be in.
