Analysis
The Fiji Interim Government is stable in the short term. Central Control will continue to dictate budget cuts. These may approach crisis in the medium term. There is little risk and good opportunity for the private sector, especially if discounts suceed in restoring Tourism.
Uganda is likely to reignite it's civil war unless the Leadership of the LRA can find a safe short term exile for Kony, as happened in Liberia. and a place of transition can be found for his starving child soldiers. They are in a catch 22. His army will continue to pillage, as they have been taught, to eat, if they stay in tact, and they will not leave their "Dad" Kony. Kony will not leave as long as there is a war crimes indictment against him the Hague.
This is not likely to impact Kampalla immedeatly, but will impact the reconstruction of the North.
The next area to watch for direct African Jihad action is Kenya. More next week.
Malawi has been largely uneventful except for the Celtel NOC being burned down by an apparent electrical fire.
I am no longer looking closely at Russia, except as it provides weapons for Jihad in Africa.
It is important for me to begin to look at new areas frequently before I can bring useful updates. Please email me as soon as you begin to look at business in new areas.
